It’s like the trolley problem, except on one track is somebody’s beloved father and on the other is some executive’s 5th yacht.

I leased a Kona EV for the last couple years and I really liked it. Great city car, albeit a little cramped on the interior. The range was great but the charge time was pretty ass, making long road trips quite tedious.
I have the Ioniq 5 now and I like it almost as much. The range is a little better but the charge time is leagues ahead; more than twice as fast. It’s bigger and feels like a boat in comparison with the Kona but I just tend to prefer smaller vehicles. If you go with the Ioniq I’d recommend the AWD, it makes acceleration so much smoother.

Now I’m imagining Vader in an apron whisking up some space mayonnaise.

Too late, for me at least

I just installed Linux Mint last weekend. Working great so far!

IIRC they even tried putting it in a separate room without a toilet and it still got poop particles on it.
We manage to tolerate our far-from-perfect elite class as they steal our wealth and destroy our futures. Why hold protestors to a different standard?
There certainly will be morons that stay at home and whine but if you look beyond that you’ll see that we had several protests with record breaking turnouts last year. Resistance is growing and there are tens of millions of Americans who aren’t staying home.
Midterms are happening this year… Expect some major fuckery.
Portland has been the first city I’ve really felt proud to live in. My partner has dropped the hint about moving abroad but for the first time in my life I feel firmly attached to a municipal community.
I never pre-order. I broke that rule exactly once and pre-ordered No Man’s Sky, boy did they make a fool out of me. Never again.
There are plenty of games I play that are on early access, the qualifier is whether the game is in a playable state and is fun to play (by account of online reviews or friend’s recommendations).
It’s a common form of humor to acknowledge difficult things in a light hearted way. You can laugh whilst simultaneously feeling sympathy. Laughter doesn’t always have to be at somebody’s expense, it can also come from a place of solidarity.

I couldn’t stomach the taste of whiskey for years but I had friends who were really into craft stuff and I felt like I was missing out so I found something that was basically vanilla extract and learned how to enjoy other whiskeys from there. Now I’m a big fan
I quit Reddit when it killed 3rd party apps to force people onto their shitty app and shove ads down our throats. I intentionally took a break from scrolling but eventually joined Lemmy 6-months later when I didn’t notice any profound differences in my relationship with my phone/the internet.

Walz started the trend and it resonated with and energized the base so much to the point where he surged to the spotlight from relative obscurity in a very short amount of time and ended up getting picked as running mate by the Harris campaign.
But then Harris’s campaign almost immediately pivoted to the classic strategy of, “damn our base, they’re going to vote for us anyway so instead let’s appeal hard to the right”, despite that consistently being a losing strategy over the last decade or so.
So they told Walz to shut up, just stand there and look pretty and cut it out with the “weird” stuff, it’ll alienate voters on the right. Turns out instead they just killed all the momentum growing within their own base while at the same time failing to win the votes of the weirdo cult members wearing ear pads in solidarity with their God king.

Big Brother can suck my dick.
I know you think you’re being pragmatic but it’s really just coming off as depraved.
