  • Are you completely unilaterally in support of everything on the left

no. that’s a separate discussion that would be a waste of time in a fascist state

believe everyone/thing on the right is equivalent to 1940s nazis?

does it matter? they’re not calling their detention centers “concentration camps,” but that’s what they are. people are dying, “illegal” or not. for the crime of not being 100% white. no consequences for anyone causing these deaths (or any other crime–are you familiar with the epstein files?). because that’s how it is in a fascist state

  • this article is a pretty good examination of the term

    https://www.rosalux.de/en/news/id/53586/maga-trump-and-the-question-of-american-fascism

Fascist regimes are characterized by authoritarian governance, the suppression of democratic institutions, and the concentration of power in the hands of a few. Redemption rule saw similar tendencies in the South, where democratic processes were subverted (with open terror) to maintain white supremacy.

pretty much what we have in the states right now, and i would extend the name “nazi” to those on the bottom rung who support the nazi regime, even though they fight tooth and nail to distance themselves from being nazis-- if someone’s talking about “antifa” (anti-fascist, note) as if it’s some evil organization that’s trying to replace white people, then it’s a safe bet that person is a nazi

  • people are getting rounded up, detained, murdered. we are in another pointless war. whatever checks and balances there ever were in government are gone.

i will not agree that my (or anyone’s) trolling of nazis has had any part in these outcomes, in fact, letting these people run amok without calling them out, i think, led more to it than anything else.

i understand you’re mad, but like many other “let’s try ‘talking’ to these nazis” or “let’s just ignore them” people, you’re mad about the wrong thing

  • giving them someone to unite against.

they are already united against everyone who isn’t one of them. part of their core identity (by design) is to flat out reject any ideas that don’t align with their nazi mindset. it’s the same in any other cult you’ve ever heard of. their greatest fear is to be shunned and cast out of the cult. watch that documentary “going clear” about scientology to get an idea-- it’s extremely difficult to remove someone from that cult programming

so–mockery, ridicule, shaming them–i will never stop until i’m dead

  • my ultimate goal (wildly ambitious, i’m aware) is to not use the internet for anything except paying bills, buying things i need but can’t get locally, and getting news. and research, if i need to buy something expensive that i don’t know anything about. i think blogging could be a productive thing, but i’ve never been a “i want to write an article about my thoughts” kind of person.

  • the psychological dependence is real. i get why it seems impossible for a lot of people, but yea–gotta reevaluate what’s adding value to life, and what’s wasting time at best, and causing harm at worst. noticing myself getting angry at all the stupid on fb was a big factor, but also all the anti-privacy bullshit like cambridge analytica, made it easier to ditch the platform
