Especially with our looming climate apocalypse I think Arbor Day would be fun if it was reframed as a day for hanging out outside, doing volunteer work for local parks. Make it fun and educational
Similarly International Workers’ Day (or May Day) needs to be more seriously celebrated until we reach utopia status

A Detroit Style meat lovers pizza with fresh grated parm on top is a great pizza

The Secret World of Peter Parker

In terms of difficulty it goes:
Master Quest (N64)>Master Quest (3DS)>Original (N64)>Original (3DS)
Master Quest is mechanically more difficult with additions to some fights and changes to the items. The 3DS versions are easier than N64 primarily because they modernize the controls in a way that involves less fucking around with menus but also some quality of life improvements (namely the iron boots)
As to how much of the Original vs Master Quest will be in the new game? Hard to say. I would expect that the new game keeps the core dungeons and temples but within them expands the scope while also adding more mini games and probably a few new areas and side quests. Assuming it follows a normal Nintendo remake pattern

Well the airforce did build a PS3 supercomputer

They had a pretty limited musical run (and a 1 season IFC show) but Garfunkel and Oates had some funny songs

I was playing video games with a friend while listening to music and said out loud “is this a Tom Jones cover of Burning Down the House?” and her immediate impression of the song was dead on even though she’d never heard it before

Start off confusing them with a cacophony of sound, followed by high energy, into Tom Jones shouting. Should be pretty hard to sleep through all of that

Seconding Lumines. One of the few puzzles games that captures the feel of Tetris while still being it’s own thing

The Breaking Bad universe. There’s a lot of shitty dudes who idolize Walter White, and then there’s the Better Call Saul shit posting that seems largely nonsensical and mostly harmless
I had a similar phase with YOLO to betray my age

I was under the impression that force ghosts are for people with a very high force sensativity. Those kids were still in training, so I doubt they get them

I have both an OLED Switch and a Switch 2. If you don’t have any other consoles then I’d say a Switch 2 is worth it. It’s getting a lot of games the Switch 1 couldn’t play and combined with the Switch 1 library there’s a lot of really great games. If you have a Switch already then I’d say it’s probably not worth it. Likewise if you have a PS4/5 I’d recommend playing games on that over getting a Switch 2. However having a portable “home” console is a really nice feature. Something to consider is unlike the past it looks like Switches will get more expensive in the short term rather than cheaper
In terms of games: DK Bonanza is a slightly worse Mario Odyssey, which is still a really good game! Kirby Air Ride is just ok. Mario Kart world is worse than 8 and Sonic Racing Crossworlds. Pokopia and Tamodachi are supposed to be excellent for people who like those games. Outside of that basically everything else is available on other systems

Valve does seem to be one of the rare companies that can learn from other companies mistakes and this was an expensive lesson Sony learned. The original PS3 was sold with the ability to run Linux as a selling point and was sold at a loss to get it and Blu-ray players into households. Unfortunately, the US Government realized they could build a super computer by connecting a bunch of PS3s together and it was the cheapest way to do so. Obviously the government super computer wasn’t buying Grand Theft Auto so subsequent PS3s were shipped without that ability
In a world where components are being purchased a year before they’re built I don’t fault Valve for trying to avoid getting fleeced
Yeah, even stories of “benevolent” djinn who want to help still backfire and those are the minority. Most are tricksters who want to fuck with you, so giving them some sort of logic loop is more likely that they break logic/causality than you’ll have them blue screen of death and poof away in a cloud of smoke

I went to a party once where the main event was a “medium” doing a large group (~15) reading. It was painful to sit through. I remember it taking a little over 2 hours and this dude just kept fishing for something to latch onto so he could do his thing. He had a couple people kinda go along but he pushed them away when they weren’t perfectly aligned with what he was looking for. I am familiar with public speaking and tried teeing him up with answers and even that didn’t work. I was looking for a way to politely leave when it finally wrapped up
I was already a sceptic thinking most mediums are bullshit artists and this only further solidified my views, as much as I tried to be open minded

If everyone you interact with on a daily basis can have their opinions changed by throwing money at them, then you start to believe that is just how people are. So when a bunch of people change their mind quickly you just assume they were paid to do so

I’ve done dumber shit with my bros and theoretically we have higher order thinking
