  • I could put in the effort to write a while paragraph I response to this, but we’re deep enough in this thread that nobody else is likely to ever see it, and I know you aren’t smart enough to change your opinion on things when given good reason to. I’ll just leave it at this: nobody in this comic or comments section is saying derogatory things about men as a group based solely on their sex

Oh what the hell, I’ll write a proper response before I block you

If black people were almost universally taller, stronger, and faster than white people, and virtually every single white person had had experiences being threatened by a black person in a way that they’d never been threatened by another white person, and in a way that the vast majority of black people had never been threatened by a white person, and in a way that the vast majority of black people had never been threatened by another black person, then it would make sense for white people to exercise extra caution around black people that they’d never met. It still wouldn’t be okay to say derogatory things about black people as a group merely based on the color of their skin.

It’s a good thing nobody is making derogatory statements about men based solely on their sex here.

  • A Kafka trap is an argument that assumes a premise of the form “if someone denies an assertion (about themselves), then that assertion is true”. Only that conditional statement is needed. That assumption implies the assertion is true no matter what.

Okay, so you’re doubling down on the definition that super doesn’t apply to the examples on the wiki page, nor any of the comments in this thread.

You’re a deeply unserious person. Get a life

  • On the surface it seems analogous, but it really isn’t. White people don’t have uniquely bad experiences with black people that they don’t also have with other white people, and that black people don’t also have with other black people. This isn’t true of men and women. Nearly every woman has a story of that time a man wouldnt leave her alone and started threatening her. Some men have that kind of experience with a woman, and very very few people have that kind of experience with some of the same sex

  • The reason you aren’t getting through to people is because you’re violating the maxim of manner. Your erudite and verbose loquaciousness obfuscates the intended meaning of your statements. Speak clearly and concisely.

You’re exceptionally bad at explaining things, but I do get it now. Let me compress your 500 page novel into a single sentence: A Kafka trap is a situation in which someone has already been accused of being x, and then their denial of being x is taken as further evidence that they are in fact x. Let’s see if this far better definition applies to this thread.

Yeah what the hell is this comment section? What a way to out yourselves as assholes by acting like this comic is personally attacking you

    And

When this kinda comic triggers you so hard its super telling for everyone else.

Oh wow, it doesn’t. At what point did they use someone’s assertion that they aren’t [the kind of person in this comic] as evidence that they are [the kind of person in this comic]? Their accusation was entirely based on people assuming the comic was about them. And yeah, if you assume this comic about a guy acting like a douchebag is about you, then what else are we supposed to assume? A guy that doesn’t act like a douchebag shouldn’t assume that this comic is about him.

  • Understand that women aren’t lying when they say they’ve had awful experiences with men, and that even though I’m a nice guy, they have absolutely no reason to believe that I’m any different if they’ve never met me before. How a woman that I don’t know feels about me doesn’t matter at all to me, because the women that I do know have no problems with me.
