It didn’t fall short, it fell flat for me. I am sorry but I don’t see a punchline even with your explanation, which, surprisingly, I didn’t need to understand the plot. I thought I was missing something…

Politeness.
AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
Limit of two posts per person per day.
Bots aren’t allowed.
Banned users will have their posts removed.
Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
