My car was written off and hauled away to scrap a few months ago. However, I still have the coded socket for the secure lug nuts (one per wheel).
I can’t think of a good reason to keep it, but thought I’d ask here before chucking it.

Not if you aren’t keeping the wheel locks that the key goes to.
Unless you are a service tech, then it could be helpful to have if you ever need one. I keep a big collection of OEM lock keys that were removed from CPO vehicles, they come in handy pretty often when the shop provided single set of wheel locks is already being used by another tech.
