      Yeah. I’m frankly surprised that they apparently aren’t flipping out about trans men getting pregnant and still retaining their gender identities…

      Trans women getting pregnant is actually something that already happens lol. It involves a bunch of immunosuppressants and a uterus transplant that has to be taken out again after the pregnancy

          Yeah, that’s the sketch of how we think it might work, but there are many hurdles before we even have something to try. It’s certainly never been done.

              I mean, even for cis women it’s basically a brand new procedure with little data, for something that’s not considered life-saving. It would be highly unethical to try one with current methods, but there’s nothing outright “impossible” about it.

        Trans women getting pregnant can happen, because there are intersex people who id as trans women who are born with a uterus and could give birth.

        But there are no cases yet of a perisex trans woman born with a penis and testes getting reassignment and a uterus transplant and giving birth. It may be possible in the near future, but not with current medical techniques.
