minus-squarehenfredemars@infosec.publinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6arrow-down1·16 days agoI want to see more euro-style mini cars on the road. Better for the environment, safer for pedestrians and cyclists, and potentially better for your pocketbook too if they weren’t such costly imports/import parts.
minus-squarebrbposting@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·16 days agoWould wanna simultaneous switchover so they don’t coexist with F-350 Superduties (if you’re abroad think double decker bus)
minus-squarePsythik@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·16 days agoMore fun to drive too. You haven’t lived until you’ve driven a small car with a large displacement (or turbo).
minus-squareSteve@startrek.websitelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·16 days agoZero occupant protection. Arguably worse than a motorcycle and a raincoat.
minus-squarehenfredemars@infosec.publinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·16 days agoYou gotta start somewhere. Or are we supposed to just have an arms race where we are eventually all driving 100 ton blocks of steel?
minus-squareSteve@startrek.websitelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·16 days agoIts not that. The size of modern cars is to accommodate crumple zones. This design is better for people inside AND outside the car. But bad for the environment, since you are hauling around an extra ton of padding all the time.
