I could swear Apple was poised to partner with YMTC for NAND flash in some of their products, in certain global markets, several years before this memory shit show but were blue balled by the U.S. government over “security” concerns.
I need to dig up the credible-sounding tech vlog on the subject I recently listened to. I believe it was actually a Gamers Nexus video.
Either way a stronger 4th party feels like a welcome addition, even if for no other reason than if it satisfies the chinese market it would maybe free up capacity elsewhere.

How do you know your cat doesn’t just want in on some Keyboard ASMR goodness? Quit depriving them!

Is it currently possible to background transfer a game install from external HDD to SSD while playing a game? As far as I recall the PS5 did not allow that early into the system’s launch.
Not to simp for Sony, but if it is possible then I don’t think NVMe disk space is a massive issue. The system at least has a 10gbps usb-c port for external drive transfer.

Any mainstream VPN service that is heavily promoted on YouTube.
If their marketing budget is that bloated, then they may be charging too much.
I’m not very inclined to take at face value what a studio founder has to say about a service that might make them less money, and might save their customers money.
Nobody is forcing studios or publishers at gunpoint to release on a subscription service.
That is bloody awesome, thanks! I’ve probably got close to 1500 hours in the game across a few accounts. I definitely need to fire up BF2 again.
Where and how?? I thought EA and Gamespy shutdown the server trackers and shutdown the community server tracker.

Shockingly it seems Meta is the company closest to realizing this.

God, I still remember struggling for hours, days because I didn’t specifically type “Get out from boat”, in Kings Quest II.
You’d think “Get out of boat” would suffice, but nooooo.

The soundtrack sounds utterly delectable already. It’s getting harder to temper my hype for this game.
Unfortunately I still doubt Ubisoft won’t somehow butcher this project with some heinous mentization schemes.

I agree with /u/9point6 above. This type of game is less marketable for add-on content.

Oh, by the way: If you’re a fan of the classic “Old.reddit.com” look, the Programming.Dev instance has an identical interface: https://old.programming.dev/?sort=Hot&listingType=All .
It’s federated with Lemmy.World so all the same posts will appear. I’m partial to that on Desktop browser, and stick with https://p.lemmy.world for mobile.

Welcome to Lemmy!
I found that a large number of communities have been named after popular, and less popular, subreddits. So I found them easy to find. There was an old r/Redditalternatives post that has a decent range of communities to start out, which I’ve copied below. It is similar to the default subreddits.:
*Note:*The “World” hyperlink takes you to the Lemmy.World communitiy.

For what it’s worth, I doubt these videos were “viewed” millions of times. X tracks a 1-second automatic playback as a view, such as when someone slowly scrolls past on their feed. Every other service typically counts that as an impression.
Been visiting http://outpost10f.com/ccc/ since 1999, and it’s still online! It’s an HTML based chat site with Star Wars and Star Trek themed rooms.
Still glorious.
