As long as it’s the same hard drive (or image), it’s the same computer. New computer whenever it’s a completely fresh install. I’ve had the same case since 2013ish. It’s had a few new computers in it.

I planned to not buy one - I was against it on launch for all the reasons and, yet, I was gifted one.

I have bought a few games but I mostly use it for playing my Switch 1 games. IF you play games with long loading times, it’s a reasonable upgrade. Age of Imprisonment is just more Musou so if that’s your thing, it might be worth it, but honestly if you’re not into ALL of the current releases, I would wait or buy it secondhand.

I slowly turn to dust as I recall cracking open 2013 MacBook Pros and just putting more memory in.
