This is going to be an unpopular take but as someone who went to school to fix jets and now deals with primarily UAV tech this is going to happen whether you like it or not. I’m not going to say it would be safer with our current tech but it is going to be safer. I totally understand why people are hesitant but we aren’t as far away from this as most people think.

I used to work for canon as a service tech. They are a wildly scummy company that routinely goes out of their way to fuck over their employees and customers.
