There’s more blind folks over on Mastodon, particularly on https://dragonscave.space/ .
Maybe we can lure some of them over here, though, by using one of these: #blind

OP should’ve posted to !shittyasklemmy@lemmy.ml, if they want meme answers. If they want a factual answer, then “ghosts don’t exist” is that.

More of a general tip: https://reuse.software/ can help to get this stuff right.
Pretty sure, it won’t be able to help with your use-case of copy-pasting code snippets, though (it’s not at all trivial to know which parts you copy-pasted), but it gives you a structure to work with and can automatically annotate new source files.
Hmm, I’m not sure you do. It’s a pun. “Just dua lipa” sounds like “just do a leap-a”, like someone with an Italian accent might sound like.
Took me a moment to get it, too, though…
Looks like a typo: !datahoarder@selfhosted.forum
df only shows partitions, whereas du adds up the file sizes in the directory you specify.
So, in particular, if you want to find out what’s taking up so much space, you can repeatedly run du -sh * and cd into the largest directory.

Yeah, I also imagine there’s lots of folks who have their handful of games in rotation that wouldn’t care to buy a new game anyways. And then also lots of folks, who just don’t have the hardware for it…

I believe, the Playstation implementation streams from your console, so primarily good for in-home streaming…

This is pretty much the only song in my collection which has vocals and which’s vocals don’t happen to be in English (don’t ask me why; my mother tongue is German), but anyways, it’s this ballad in some slavic language: https://open.audio/library/tracks/102128/
I have no idea what the song is about, so if they sing of pee and poop, I do apologize.
There’s actually larger organisms. Blue whale is just the largest animal. 🙂
Yeah, I feel like Christians make a big deal out of life vs. death. Life is declared this super great thing that was gifted to them by their god. And death is described like an eternal departure into the unknown.
Meanwhile, if you view things in a much more mundane way, life is just your atoms jiggling about. It’s not particularly bad, when they stop jiggling together.
But even if you do prefer them being part of a pile that’s deemed ‘alive’, your left toe is probably gonna get eaten by a worm and brought into a field, where a plant will pick up the atoms and grow some seeds, which get carried by a bird into the next forest and so on. Your atoms will almost certainly be part of many alive piles of atoms going forward.
Better than the original. As in, it’s a faithful reimplementation with quality of life improvements, like higher resolution, support for modern operating systems, and most loading times eliminated.
I believe, there’s still tiny differences to how the original behaved in certain situations, which is why they don’t call it “1.0” yet, but you’re not going to notice while playing.

Hmm, it’s been probably a year since I downloaded it, so not sure, downloading it works in general. But how are you downloading it? Directly from the webpage? Or did you install Luanti and are downloading it through the “Content” tab in there?
Might need an older version of Luanti, I’m not sure…

Oh man, mine is proper raw. The whole gameplay takes place on this map and like, two other locations:
![]()
The gameplay is basically just:
Sometimes you also have to click in that second building a few times to craft something, then walk to a third building and click “upgrade” there.
This is a quote from the solo dev:
the game currently has only about 50% of the content I had planned […] I’m still quite dissatisfied with many things. As feedback, I’ve often heard that the combat system isn’t intuitive and is rather boring, which I can completely understand. Resource gathering is also still quite dull. As long as I don’t have really good ideas for both, I don’t think it makes sense to expand the game with new content.
So, it’s unfinished. The dev themselves says that it’s kind of terrible. And it’s an idle game, which many folks would hardly consider a game to begin with.
But yeah, I had fun. Every time you upgrade a building, it looks different afterwards. And so, just seeing how the map develops over time and what new things would get unlocked by each upgrade, was cool.
I think, in particular that it’s such a niche game, where you really don’t know what to expect, that kind of made it for me. It doesn’t follow “good” game design rules, which make other games all feel quite samey. The rawness was kind of the appeal.
I guess, now I need to link to the game. But yeah, don’t complain to me, if it is terrible. You have been warned: https://content.luanti.org/packages/1248/castrum/
Oh, huh, I saw the release announcement for Fedora 44 explicitly mention Plasma 6.6, so I figured it was tied to the release. 🫠
Yeah, it should come with the next Fedora release, which is scheduled for October 20th.
Feature updates, like this new Plasma version, get shipped every half year on Fedora. In between, you mostly just get security and bug fixes…

It was one of the stated goals for Servo itself to be designed like that. But I don’t think anyone at Mozilla expected Servo to take over from Gecko. They were already quite happy that they were able to incorporate Servo’s style engine and URL bar implementation and such into Gecko.

I don’t think that’s quite right. The Linux kernel, Firefox and Chromium all sit around 30 millions lines of code, last I checked, so if you add the rest of the operating system, it should still have more lines of code than the browser.
But yes, similar order of magnitude.
Also really annoying that you often hardly get feedback that it is now booting up, because it takes another few seconds before the screen turns on. At various points, I’ve pressed that button, didn’t notice that it was turning on, and then pressed it again, which turned it back off.
