Look at buddy over here with the 1960s lawn boy
Except that a PC with modern specs costs over $2k to build. Comparing PCs to Consoles is a fools errand, yes of course it’s way better, because my gaming PC also cost five times as much to build.
I bought a PS5 earlier this year that’s just collecting dust. I guess I didn’t realize or appreciate until after purchase that there is very few actual PS5 titles. There is no way in hell I would consider a PS5 Pro with their current library.
I don’t think it matters in the long run. Make trash products, realize trash results.
Yeah that’s a fair point. But you should still be able to play offline. I’m not much of an online gamer anyways.
Yeah I think we’ve learned by now that if you can’t touch it, you don’t own it. I’m tired of “leasing” software.
That’s happened to me with a couple of phone apps too. Its infuriating.
I’m peak subscription overload. I’m looking for ways to turf a bunch of ours, I’m currently trying to prove to my wife that our IPTV sub has everything that she needs and the Netflix/Disney/Amazon/Paramount subs can all fuck off and die. Almost there.
Next up is the bike trainer, roadside assistance, fitness and music subs. I’ll keep Spotify because I like how it integrates with our car, but that’s the ONLY reason.
Honestly I don’t really know, and don’t really care. I enjoy sporadically using it, and I’ve enjoyed making both useful, and some useless things.
Trust me, I’ve spent far more on dumber shit that I use half as often.
Canada here. Fuck off US Copyright Groups.
Canada out.
There’s nothing with modern complexities that is going to last that long. Think of the complexities of today’s system. I mean I’ve got my original PlayStation, it’s 25 or 26 years old now, and it mostly functions to your point, but it also hasn’t been heavily played (or really played at all) for about 20 years. But my PS2, I went through three of them in 6 years. My Xbox is almost 20 years old, it’s my second (and is making weird noises). And so on. My PS4 at 10 years old runs, but makes a ton of noise and is definitely slower than it used to be. It ain’t making it to 20, that’s for sure, I mean maybe now that it gets zero use it might.
My point is, the more intense they got, the more problems I started to have. As the boomers like saying too, shit ain’t built like it used to be.
Us folks with original model Switch’s ain’t barely getting two hours either, though.
No. Slow news cycle
