This totally isn’t what you’re asking for, but I absolutely love the 8bitdo adapter 2 thing (https://www.8bitdo.com/usb-wireless-adapter-2/) pair your DS4 controller to it and then just plug in the dongle. I haven’t found anything it doesn’t work on, but mainly I pop it between a pi3, pi400, and my LMDE desktop.
So handy.
Huge steam library, RTX 3060, currently playing either 7D2D, or vanilla WOW over on Warmane (excited for the upcoming move to TBC which is around 17 years old or so).
I’m torn on the FFVII remake, waited 20 years and I feel like I was handed a different game; it is a good game without a doubt, and the characters feel familiar. After eagerly jumping in and playing a while I found myself longing for a remake of the game I played for months before saving up enough for a memory card.
Much like good old MySQL, it’s named for its creator and the last name My is pronounced ‘me’. At least that’s what I remember hearing or reading somewhere… I’m sadly too uncultured to know for sure (never made it that far around the globe).
I’ve played around a bit with Remotely (https://github.com/immense/Remotely) from what I’ve seen it’s great for when a family member needs some remote support, it also has persistent agents for some stuff. Personally for remote administration I LOVE Apache Guacamole, it’s super handy being able to use RDP/SSH/vnc/etc from a browser.
Edit: after reading the post it may not be what you’re looking for. I don’t think either of those would be good from an FPS standpoint.
All those examples have the company (the ISP in this case) choosing to hire someone, this would be more similar to:

I’ll admit I didn’t open the article, as far as I’m aware the best way to sidestep silly requirements like warrants is to just purchase data intended for advertising. Databrokers really have an amazing wealth of info ready to be tapped into, all you gotta do is pay.
90 days is standard for “you’re code is fucked when someone presses this…”; if the issue is Dave left the keys in the parking lot and someone copied them, two weeks is more than enough time for them to recieve the notice, create a ticket to rotate the keys and a ticket to trigger an investigation (gotta document anytime an org fucks up so it doesn’t happen again, right?). Maybe I’m over simplifying it though, I don’t know how their org operates.
I’ll have to respectfully disagree, while it’s not the best game, I can’t say it’s that bad. The whole game shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes unless you’re going easy on someone (like kids but monopoly isn’t really a friendly smiley game).
I guess it’s really up to what type of games you like to play.
Depending on how strict you are with the rules, it can be pretty a fairly quick game. It’s not super quick, but it’s no Axis and Allies or Risk.
Oh they aren’t shared, he is holding out because he believes he’ll have gaming issues; my wife on the other hand, just doesn’t want to make the switch yet.

Because she still like the familiarity of Windows. She doesn’t do anything specific to Windows, just doesn’t want to leave it yet.
Been doing that for the past 15 years or so, being able to use group policy is essential with Windows. I’m pretty sure my son really wants to upgrade his last computer (to Linux), but I may have more work to convince the wife.
I always just bought grey market keys (for Pro/Enterprise), in nearly 20 years I never had one fail or quit working randomly.
I don’t disagree they are their games, but is it their emulator, or did they just download one of the many online? Really doesn’t matter, just love to see companies bitch about something, then turn around and do it themselves.

Debian is always my first choice, but I’m not playing the newest stuff (Far Cry 5/7D2D/Ark/etc), while it hasn’t been ‘smooth sailing’, I haven’t found anything that just refuses to play.

Yeah, my son convinced me to try having one monitor vertical. His (Windows 10) is close to right, but dragging a window across the gap and you have 2 different size windows. Compared to my computer (LMDE) and it is truly scaled correctly, the window is the same size on any monitor and while travelling between them.
Still not sure how I feel about a vertical monitor though, it’s great for documentation but just feels so unnatural.
They’d just be looking at the palm rest for me. Laptop is closed and under the monitor stand, having it open just makes Window’s show how well it does desktop scaling.
I managed to automate one job to the point I had maybe 45 minutes of stuff to do each day. Pandemic hit and my amazingly uneducated supervisor insisted there was no way I could remotely do my job. When you only see the same 4 walls with pretty much no other human interaction for 8.5 hours a day you start to go a little crazy. If I’m being completely honest they came close to finding me at my desk the next day a couple times. I have not automated away my new job, but I am wholeheartedly debating a career shift, not because it’s difficult, because I’ve been burnt out for a few years now.
