3·15 days agoWhich is why I feel that for humanity to succeed we will eventually need an entirely new form of societal governance to replace capitalism & communism, just as those systems replaced feudalism and tribalism. Something like technoism where decisions are made and enacted by machines, incapable of self motivation; or geneticism where leaders’ selfish impulses are either bred or edited out of them. We are still many, many years off from technology being able to accomplish this, but the only way to overcome the human factor is to… well… remove the human factor.
They’re usually a parody of shitty Ben Garrison political cartoons, but artists are expected to crank out more and more content and this guy has found his niche. So you eventually start getting some that aren’t really a parody of anything; except maybe his own work. Although this one is specifically about parodies… I’m just gonna step away before this gets too meta.
So dumb. What’s even the point of it? Meaningless text photoshopped onto a completely unrelated picture. Why? Just so they can post to the pics community?

He’s a modern day Edison. Loved by some, hated by others. Takes credit for other’s work and has sketchy morals. More a businessman than an engineer. History will ebb and flow on if he’s celebrated or destined, one decade he’s a hero, the next he’s a villain; and opinion will continue to switch.
There are so many reasons to dunk on Elon, but this isn’t one of them. Generic looking humanoid robots isn’t “ripping off” I, Robot. It’s literally the most common depiction of futuristic robots around.
You wanna dunk on Musk? Talk about how his robots were remote controlled with humans talking through them. Talk about how most of his family has disowned him and refuses to have anything to do with him. Talk about how he has Trump’s dick firmly in his mouth because he might be in hot water over supplying equipment to Russia and might face prosecution if Trump isn’t elected.
But this just screams of low-hanging Musk-bait, where journalists will write anything negative about him knowing that those who have hate-boners for the guy will eat up whatever crap they shit out, even if it doesn’t make sense. It’s like going “Elon Musk ate cereal for breakfast! What a fucking loser!”

The disconnect between the general public and the realities of the petroleum industry may be the largest gap in existence. Pretty much any article you read gets 99% of the info hilariously wrong as the journalist has no idea wtf they’re talking about.
