Quoting JP is a sure sign of a chud.
My previous account was @dumblederp@aussie.zone I left it because Rowling has turned out to be a pretty shitty person and I don’t want the association.
Mostly I’m just here for idle friendly conversation over shared interests.
I can get caught up in my own stubbornness on some topics.

“I’m not racist, I hate everyone equally.”

I’ve read “blood mouth” to refer to meat eaters, which I thought sounded like loser talk.
Edit: I think most people have this interaction. Every vegan I’ve met out in the world has been a cool relaxed person, a bunch of vegans online are loud mouthy fuckwits.

Don’t be evil.

I expect we’ll probably see emulation instead.

I still haven’t gotten around to playing GTA5 or RDR2, and I own them on PC.

Semaglutide has been prescribed to diabetics for 20+ years now. Asking for the horror stories is probably unreasonable fear mongering. So many topics have horror stories, which if followed directly, would indicate staying away from the thing. Unless it’s an unusually high percentage of people experiencing negative effects it’s mostly medical denialism, eg anti Vaxxers, to focus on the slim chance of problems. I’ve had two surgeries in the last two years, one of the side effects was death, people do die during surgery, I’m fine. I’m still recovering but I’m getting there.

Early to bed. I try to stay up until at least 9pm so I don’t wake up at 3am.

YSK if you talk to a surgeon, they’ll recommend surgery. Whoever you talk to has been trained that their method of treatment is the preferred one. They’re invested in that technique so will push what they’ve been taught.

A lot of stronger pain meds cause constipation so the laxative can be for that side effect. Avoiding bearing down aka poo pushing can be recommended to reduce stress on the surgery site. I had two hernia operations to learn this. I’m a cis male but one of my testes is giving me a bit of grief so I expect I’ll need to evict it at some point.

On this note, I lost contact with a huge number of friends when I deleted my facebook ~15 years ago. Similar for livejournal. I handed out my email address and phone number before I walked away, but people have not used those to contact me at all.
I think people don’t want to put any effort into socialisation. Getting a “feed” is so easy, it feels like you’re connecting with people. You see the comments and likes. But everyone is lonely because they’re not actively interacting, just passively consuming.
My DNA says British/Irish, my grandparents say Irish/Scottish and my passport says Australian.

I dismantled it and rebuilt it.

Lol, the ethics of piracy.
It depends on your connection, country, ability to seed and probably a few other things I’m not thinking of.
I squatted for a while with 40gb per month on my mobile, I didn’t seed shit.
I rented a seedbox for a few years and seeded some things into the thousands ratio.
Plenty of people use Streamio which is straight leeching.
Do what you can. The higher the ratio the better.
I feel that if something has taken weeks/months to download I try to seed that for a while. If something is super popular its got enough support that I’m not making any difference.

I watch most stuff on an old surface4 laptop/tablet. Haven’t had a big TV in years. Pc has 2x 27" Monitors but they’re for gaming, work and schooling.

Does meal prep count because I don’t really like cooking?

I agree. That was an early morning insomnia comment. Junk food, tv and masturbation are all fine in moderation but they can easily become a problem for people who are stuck in a mental hole.

There’s so much Guardian posted on lemmy that I feel they’re spamming us.
I’ve been pan frying pre boiled potatoes for breakfast instead of toast. Pop a couple of fried eggs on top. Vege snags and caramelised onion on the side. 🤌🤌🤌
