I’ll put $100 down to say there are members of Collective Shout that read books like ACOTAR and Haunting Adeline. I’ll even adjust to the Austrialian dollar. $100 says they read CNC type scenes. Not all of them, obviously, but enough to label them as the hypocrites they are.
Pathfinder is clearly the answer
In addition to the other answers, I want to add that the anti-porn stuff gives them the reason they need to force you into a more monitored environment. In which, everything you do is tracked. Your instinct is right imo. They want Google monitoring your mobile device as the primary piece. It’s legislative market capture and fascism at the same time. No one company has to have all the info on you, but in forcing you to confirm yourself they make it so half a dozen can report on you if your habits trigger something. Half the technology is already in place as it’s been built under the guise of better ad targeting.
You don’t fuck the Japanese dating sim industry. Almost all the stuff Visa and Mastercard has gotten banned over the last decade has been Japanese.
You have to be kidding me. Mr AI president doesn’t know Nvidia? Their stock like quadrupled in value because of AI

Can we not overlook that this was activist driven. Looks like this Collective Shout is only a 40,000 person organization. 40,000 people just broke content access for millions. Over a game that had already been pulled from the platform without their intervention.
That entirely depends on the quality of your water.
An adblocker on your devices is equivalent to putting a Britta filter on your water tap.
Shrinkage does not mean industry death but I think we all know that.
And the button to close it is usually tiny and mapped poorly. Which is in and of itself shitty.

I keep thinking about some of RPs I’ve done in my life. Hot, vile, smutty text based RPs. I think about them and wonder if there will ever be a time when those words would be considered illegal and I would be arrested for posting them. This doesn’t just protect minors. It tags deviance. Some of you may know the darker corners of Reddit. Imagine if an AI flagged your subs. The delete-rebuild cycle doesn’t work anymore. Reddit will always know. If the law asks for suspects for newly illegal thought crime, Reddit will be able to point to all the users on those dark corners. We are moving into a future where privacy doesn’t matter and I fear what that means for the kinky among us.

They act puritan to help facilitate business in more restricted cultures like China or Vietnam. Allowing everything that is allowed in the most liberal countries wouldn’t loose them their marketshare in those countries. Disallowing it though, that opens those foreign markets with minimal negative effect to their processing volume. How many people are going to blame visa for this? Most will just blame Steam who is just conforming to the standards the processors set.
I didn’t come here to have that argument. Things as they are, you can search for lolicon in most corporate owned search engines and be told about csam being illegal. It is what it is and I used that as the basis for my argument not your feelings on…what, thought crime?

There is a lot of talk dancing around the issue here. This isn’t an American thing or a Puritan thing. This is purely a capitalism thing. They have been doing this for years. Do you think lolicon got forced off of every major platform for moral reasons? It breaks laws in various counties that the web hosts and payment processors operate in. Wincest porn, CNC porn, Zoo Porn, NSFL stuff. It’s all illegal somewhere. These companies are chasing profits. Those niche topics mentioned above lock them out of expanding into some places. Like China. They don’t give a fuck about the ethics of the content. They care that they’re loosing money by not being able to conduct business in those markets. They care that hosting it makes them a target and possible have to deal with law enforment of some country, fines, or vigilante style attacks on their network. You’ll loose your little family harem video game. They don’t care. They’re making billions processing the main narket. It’s capitalism and the global economy that’s making your platforms more conservative.
“It’s just good business.” It pisses me off.
