Cops are such fucking cowards. ACAB
You are correct, but everyone is too afraid to work together to find a better candidate/ new party. We no longer can organize ourselves. We can only be organized by institutions apparently. I’d love to be proven wrong on this but watch how much resistance you get. Just trying to suggest that maybe we could do better. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
Not many people know this but Ganon saved my life. This was back in the early 2010s. I was strolling around my neighborhood and I was attacked by a Russian gangster, a feral plumber and 2 to 3 high strung nuns. Just when I thought it was over Ganon comes sprinting over out of no where, he claws one of the nuns right across the eye and fully exposed the plumbers crack(thus depleting his plumber powers). They all immediately fled. Ganon meowed at me and then used his paws to spell out his name and give me this lore before returning home.
Super cute cat, I’m glad to have known him.
Have a great day stranger 👈😎
Just my experience, I work in tech as a millennial with some boomers many gen X many millennials and now some Gen Z. From all those people it seems to me the gen Z people are the most proficient with technology.
Why you got some kinda stat that’s gonna blow my mind?
As a younger millennial it surprises me how little others seem to get the generation divide here. Personal computers and keyboards were very common for millennials to grow up with in the house, but I think more and more people these days don’t use desktops or laptops that often most people stick with tablets and smartphones. Gen z probably doesn’t have the same keyboard skills as millennials because of that, but on average they are definitely better with tech than we are. Their typing skills are just on phone keyboards lol. Just my 2 cents
I mean you give enough of a shit to comment twice so 🤷♂️
I don’t think a multibillionaire is just a celebrity. The companies he owns and the power he has there aside, he also controls many politicians through lobbying deals.
I feel you on missing the days of the old web so I think you should know it’s tech billionaires like musk who have destroyed it. Whether through their direct control over platforms like Twitter or by how they have regulated the web through lobbying of our politicians.
I think he’s just a hypocrite who will say anything and contradict it when it’s better for him.
Have you ever seen his trans daughter who he disowned for being trans talk about him? He’s not a good dude. For years when I first heard of him I was tricked too. Look into him some more man. He’s a piece of shit.
Here’s some reasons:
Taking credit for other people 's work. I don’t think he actually founded any of the companies he owns besides the boring company. That hasn’t done anything right? Lol
Having emotional temper tantrums where he tries to ruin people’s lives, for example that diver he called a pedophile for no reason.
Again his hypocrisy around his political beliefs. For example how he champions “Free speech” but also will censor words like ‘cis’. It’s clear to me and many others that “free speech” to Elon just means people are free to say what Elon wants.
They use Lemmy
I use temu too. I see literally the same products on Amazon and temu regularly. Temu is much cheaper but obviously shipping is longer. But yeah there is alot of overlap. I think it’s too important to remember a lot of the stuff they get sold on Amazon is from small third party sellers who buy cheap goods from China from places like timu or Alibaba or wherever and then warehouse and resell them on Amazon for a huge markup.
I get where y’all are coming from temu does horrible s*** I guess the reason I use it is the same as the other guy said thr price hike in thr us and I don’t think the merchants over here are ethical either. I’m pretty used to being surveilled digitally at this point 🤷
28 and same. A lot more millennial energy here than Gen z. Honestly Lemmy feels like 2012 reddit to me so I assume it’s mostly the same age group as me and a bit older. 🤷
