21 days agoI’m saying no. I could find nothing on the books that prohibits specific printer tech or mandates hidden tracing be added for it to be legal.

Using the tool for illegal activities is illegal, owning a printer capable of producing fake notes isn’t.
Where are you seeing that it’s illegal? I own a pen plotter that can print things without tracking dots and that’s not illegal. I don’t see why this would be any different.
3·23 days agoI’ve been here for a couple of years now and have never gotten anything like that. I even occasionally ban people (which I can’t imagine they are too happy about). 🤷♂️

8·2 months agoI’m super curious to read the license and understand how this is allowed:
- Run your own version of server modules for testing or experimentation
- Make (and sell) a game similar to BitCraft with your own IP (art and themes) using our code as a basis

15·2 months agoI help my community by donating clothes and food, and I donate heavily to progressive causes and campaigns. I really don’t think reading every little bit of information about how the world is falling apart really helps me, and I reject the idea that’s connected to making the world better. If I had more money and could act at a global scale, maybe. But I don’t.

In the same vein, a TV might work too as long as it’s able to receive digital programming. They make small ones you could probably make work.
The very question of “why isn’t Lemmy doing anything” is deeply misunderstanding the structure of this network. Report something offending and instance mods will look at it. You know, like all the reports I got about this post.
