Ya know, Signal has been audited multiple times. It’s OSS. IT sec elite has looked at it and says it’s sound. If anything is plausible, it would be your device spying on you rather than Signal.
What’s weird tho is how people think this has anything do with messaging or data privacy. This is about Telegram being used as a public platform. They can’t force Durov to decrypt anything, nor do they need to, because they already know your groups…

Make a habit of reading takes (from reputable / serious sources) that you think you’ll disagree with.
Even if it doesn’t change your mind, you will understand other people’s POV. This is very important for understanding your own stance better and finding flaws and uncertainties in it.
It also tends to humanise “the other side” (whoever that is for you), which makes it easier to have a constructive argument rather than meaningless fights.
I have used Google, DDG, Bing and Ecosia (which is basically Bing) at this point and ingl, none of them really stands out for its results. If anything, I think DDG and Bing beat Google.
Google might be the first company to create a monopoly out money and apathy. The apathy of users who don’t care about their search engine enough to even change the default.

I know a lot of you are meming, but the amount of dogshit takes here is almost depressing.
There is no single answer to what a good government looks like, there is no “best one” and surely any single one that is based purely on ideals or idealized human behavior will fail, no matter how hard you believe in it.
One of the arguably most successful governments is the Chinese one and they are and were neither just, nor friendly, nor purely capitalist, communist or authoritarian. They are very China first and fuck everyone else and that works because of a lack of conscience and them adapting to everything without a second thought. Looking away and screwing people over as needed. You can be capitalist as long as it works for them. You can do whatever if it benefits them.
The US does this too, in different ways with similar effects.
We have not failed to prevent climate change. We have failed to prevent some climate change. How much more we get depends directly on what we do about it now. And now the best you can do is keeping that in mind when going to vote and spending money.
