AI is one of those buzzwords that can make your company look more valuable. So everyone includes it, weather it’s useful or not.
And it’s so easy: you use text somewhere in your application? Send it to a LLM together with a prompt and voila - you now have AI in your system. Bam. +200% market value.
Of course I exaggerated a bit, but a lot of people see it like that.
Long-term gains from things like user satisfaction are hard to measure and predict.
That’s why you see these ‘Were you happy with our service?’ questions everywhere. Still, the people who answer these polls are in the minority and a specific subset of respondents, which is bad for statistics.
Doesn’t anyone restrict their AIs rights? An AI should not be allowed to delete the backup. Only someone with admin rights should be able to do that. Normal users, developers and AIs of course should not have the right to touch the backup. Do these people run AI agents as root?
I’d swap EA and Ubi. EA is as bad as Ubi AND has the tendency to take beloved franchises and kill them. Definitely Chaotic Evil. A tumor on the games industry.

Wage slavery. The US is one of the worst offenders. By binding your healthcare to your employer and having next to no worker protection laws, the loss of your job might cause homelessness or death. Is that really a choice? Work or die? And with stagnating wages who has the financial security and time to fight for their rights?

Users added “reddit” to their search terms, so they get results from reddit, where spam and astroturfing were… there but manageable.
Now the SEO people and advertisers target reddit with AI tools, until it is so enshitificated that we have to find something else (rinse and repeat)

These AI PCs/Notebooks aren’t even able to run the really big models. For those you’d need a 5000$ card. And for the smaller models a good graphics card is often enough.
For a real AI PC we would need new technology or graphics cards with more ram (the last one would suprise me with current ram prices)
