Punch nazis, trebuchet TERFs.
I am building Voyager, a client for lemmy!
Yeah, that is an odd one. I did reply to the post though. I haven’t been able to reproduce yet… does the phone have memory constraints? Is it iOS? if so what is the version number?
I don’t try to ignore github suggestions, there are just a lot of them and I can’t always take the time to immediately reply. And then I forget because my memory sucks :)
Is there some issues in particular you want addressed?
That’s strange, it works for me.
Lemmy devs broke it, I have a fix hitting the stores soon.
Development has been intensive lately, tags coming very soon. I do need to groom issues though lol.
Do you have a specific post example you can share?
Hey, nice find!
I’ll get this fixed in the next release.
As others said, it doesn’t support the domain rn. PRs and issue reports are welcome 🙏
Voyager doesn’t have a global API key, it requests a temporary one per device. There are limits, but not really clear, really depends on what redgifs feels like doing.
I do plan on exposing the error message received from redgifs for more clarity in the future
if you chill on the porn for a day or so it should start working again 😜
Whut about purple people
When you force close the app (or restart device) does it fix? There is a known iOS bug where the database closes until restart app and/or phone
Road trip is more eco friendly anyways.
Thanks. No dice on reproducing so far. What is your specific iOS version? You could also try a screen record and send via email to make sure I’m correctly understanding
Edit: I’m also seeing unread message badge showing up on that account
That’s really weird… if you wouldn’t mind temporarily sharing credentials (use a temporary pw) I can take a look. hello@vger.app
A few are on Mastodon! https://grndcntrl.net/links/#ElonJet
Yes it’s definitely possible to expose in a more obvious manner for the F-Droid and web builds, just hasn’t been done yet!
Bullying/harassment, calls for violence, etc can get an app removed if the content is not removed. By its very nature, mod logs aren’t removed. Obviously for mods this is needed, and Voyager exposes for those limited users in order to moderate. But it is not really necessary for regular users. So it needs to be implemented carefully to avoid the app being removed from stores.
This was published last month btw (Oct 15, 2024)
