Its funny because its built to destroy but the owner would likely cry if it was scratched.

Technology@lemmy.world•LG TVs’ unremovable Copilot shortcut is the least of smart TVs’ AI problemsEnglish
4·8 days agoRealtime subtitles is a value ad for the user. That’s totally fine.
Copilot scanning my activity and recommending me shows serves the company, get that off of TVs.
I’ll always use a plugin streamer.
I hmhave a goal of having bases evenly distributed across the galaxies. So I hop on every once in a while to find a suitable planet for the next base.
They replay all the expeditions during the holidays so I do the ones I missed as well.

You can also write your own using things like curl.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Lightweight and flexible: Bitwarden lite self-host deployment is now generally available | BitwardenEnglish
5·15 days agoI think it’s nice they offer their own lite version.
Just because there is a more popular OSS solution doesn’t mean they should be complacent and accept people will use Vaultwarden.
This shows they support their users directly instead of just letting their users fend for themselves.
They also could indirectly be blamed by some people using vaultwarden should an issue arise with it.
By publishing the first party lite version they can say “well you’re not using our supported version”. While still being friendly to self-hosters.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Why FitGirl won't die: The repacker millions of gamers depend on in an age of surveillanceEnglish
10·1 month agoYeah I think it ends up waiting for slower storage if your cpu or HDD are too slow. I experience that with slower sdcards on the Deck.
But on a decent NVMe with a balanced CPU the download and disk are full bore and the CPU usage goes really high.

I haven’t made any purchases since tariffs drove up prices.
