the extra-irony is that up until the last 10-15 years, “gulf stream” is what everyone in the usa called it, too. hank’s just so tech-pilled he can’t see anything else.

11·2 months agoyes we did. you got tapes in the mail. there were services for it. there were conventions. it was just a lot smaller than it is now.
there aren’t a lot of nice places hiring foreign workers en mass, and meta, google, palantir, tormentnexus, etc, offer a chance at a better life for them and their families.
the major reason to make life a hell for as many people as possible is to have this kind of leverage on them.
