She’s more of a wee little princess who loves to be carried everywhere.
Bo is a solid lump at 15 pounds.

Two elderly rescue cats, Buttons and Bo.
She (Buttons) is a very needy lapdog of a cat who loves to be carried basically everywhere around the house. Insists on sleeping under blankets while on my bed, usually on her side with her head on a pillow. She also LOVES grooming me, especially my beard. She comes when called, though is mostly deaf. She’s freaked out when I take a bath, coming up to the edge and howling… probably remembering the time she jumped on the edge and very gracefully fell in.
Her brother is downright weird. He’s shaped like a pug (15 pounds, very broad chest, walks almost bow legged due to said breadth). He LOVES to be held like a fat, hairy toddler… ‘sitting’ on his hind legs with his back up against me. He also prefers being under blankets at night, but completely covered. He likes to be carried, but not as much, and due to his length it’s a bit challenging to make him comfortable while doing so.
Both always want attention, love having their bellies scratched and immediately warm up to strangers.
The two hwat?
Don’t beat yourself up. Seriously.
I was able to break free early partly due to how absurd the hypocrisy became. My mother was going to hell, not because she’s a cold narcissist, but a Jew and a ‘practitioner’ of new age bullshit. And my father saw nothing at all wrong with this type of belief.
Not to mention he was pretty racist (though in a ‘subtle’ way), while helping raise my adopted Korean sister.
I was lucky that he and my mother were such atrociously bad examples of how to deal with others, that I vowed to never be like them.
That was my thought too. Princess Leia is a complete badass and my first time seeing a woman in that such a depiction on any screen.
It defined a genre. And had some pretty advanced concepts for the time (the first game I played with right-click help pop-ups).
It’s still being worked on, mostly via Caster of Magic. The ‘reboot’ is OK, but a bit too slavish in copying the UI issues.
Or I could just play some sweet Master of Magic (DOS version)… a game so beloved it’s still getting actively modded some 30 years later!
I have such a ridiculous backlog to play. Such guilt.
Same boat here my friend.
1000+ hours, lots of intricate builds. Post Ashlands has been miserable.
With all that, still the best $20 I’ve ever spent in 43 years of gaming.
They’ve gotten progressively more poorly thought out though.
Mistlands is glorious, but so fogged in as to be essentially invisible. I resorted to a mod to increase the value of the wisp.
Ashlands is just a brutal, unfun grind. Not hard, just relentless especially with endless pop-in of enemies. Not to mention even more horrendous performance… 20fps on a very high end system is abysmal (rtx 4090, nvme drive, etc).
Valheim was amazing. But it’s faltered so badly in the past 2 years that I’m just sad. Very sad.
It’s such a painful choice. I can’t take in more pets, but I can’t stand to see one suffering.
The last true stray I adopted ended up giving me a litter of kittens before I could get her fixed, then ran away. Ever since all my pets (cats) have been from shelters.
To be fair I still feed opossums regardless.
Asking the important questions here.
My gateway not only into ‘real’ computer gaming but also D&D.
Salt.
My cat named børt
My cat is also named børt.
Klan haven, too.
