Not a tool or website per se, but more of a system that I thought of to share loot - mostly single files - with normie friends that neither use a VPN or pirate in any capacity: just pack it in an encrypted archive, encrypt the file headers too, change the filename to something random, upload it to the cloud service of your choice, share the download link and the password to the archive with them and Bob’s your uncle.

DM.

FUCK I knew it D: I read the instructions and tried a bazillion times D:

Chances to make a change in my miserable, depressive life. It only takes one opportunity to capture, one chance to seize and decide to do things differently, but alas, I’m not there yet. Thankfully, I have multiple - nay - an unlimited amount of chances ahead.
Materialistically speaking, off the top of my head, maybe my physical security keys (Yubico)? I have a backup key so that I don’t get locked out of my accounts in case I loose my main key, but I could manage without the backup. Jeesh, it’s hard to come up with something material that I have multiple of since I’m a minimalist and literally have like ONE plate and ONE spoon/fork/knife if you catch my drift.

First I was like: have they tried
gurochan
Then I was like: never mind

There was a case in Japan. An application was handed in to name a boy akuma, which means “devil”. That may sound funny or cute or whatever, but it really isn’t. The application was denied.
I moaned louder than a procreating moose when I finally got it.
This only works because it’s a written/printed meme though, because we don’t say “ten” if were are not counting in base 10, we say “one zero base four”, which you further can specifify as 104 in written language.
This is how I managed to find the best spot and orientation for my mobile router before I finally got fiber. It was an app I found on F-Droid. Forgot it’s name, though. Somebody was smart enough to find out that the modem inside smartphones has sensors and that we can pipe their readings.
Absolutely brilliant!

I also second (third?) this! And the possible variations are also fun to explore! Recently, I’m hooked on scones. 🤤

Dead serious question: I have only ever worked in the public sector (state level and local municipality) but often see or hear about these seemingly idiotic “interview questions” on television (and obviously memes).
Is this:
If 3, what on earth is its purpose and what could the interviewer possibly find out about the applicant by asking this?
I’m calm.

How is this even a question? You have the right to do everything and anything to yourself.
On another note: I really appreciate your level of insight! The pills are obviously solving a problem or two for you - you can sleep and and you don’t feel like dying, if I understood you correctly.
And now some unsolicited opinion. Feel free to disregard!
Every step one wants to take away from addiction must start there, if you ask me: respect that the substance, the ritual, the behavior or whatever one is addicted to is in fact solving a problem for you. We are not that intelligent on the primal level to sort things out “logically” when we are in a fight or flight situation. Only after having accepted and defined what problems the addiction has been solving should one go to the next step: is this method of problem solving sustainable? What does it give me vs. what does it cost me? Depending on where you are in your journey, one might accept certain costs - for instance physical and financial health - in order to gain certain things - for instance mental stability, sleep, a sense of happiness etc.

Thank you sir and I wish you a very Merry Christmas! :)

Thanks for the valuable input! :)
I always encrypt all my drives - external or internal - because at the very least, I have nothing to loose with today’s computing power. The overhead isn’t noticeable for me once the drives are decrypted, which takes two seconds with my Ryzen 5800 x3d.
Regarding what you said specifically about the peace of mind that it gives me if and when I were to sell the drives: YES. encryption can even be used as a method of securely wiping scrambling content.

Nope, they are hooked up to my retired gaming rig xD retired because my physical health makes it hard to sit in front of the PC and game 😭 poor RTX 3080 just sitting there…
Anyway, here you go! There is room for five more 2.5 inch SSDs in the back. I’ve even seen somebody mod this chassi to hold 22 HDDs he he.

Oh, and the software part: 4 x 4TB drives made into one 16TB logical volume with LVM, on top off which there is a LUKS container for whenever my home is raided (not that encryption helps legally speaking, unless you have plausible deniability…). I figured I don’t need redundancy with SSDs and none of the data is really anything that I couldn’t just torrent again. Maybe I’ll do an offline backup of them down the road.
Holy crap it’s like localsend on steroids! Thanks for sharing! https://github.com/localsend/localsend
