Someone saw “not the onion” and took it literally
“Now bring in my 500 wives”

The largest recorded temperature change in one place over a 24-hour period occurred on January 15, 1972 in Loma, Montana, when the temperature rose from −54 to 49 °F (−47.8 to 9.4 °C).
Just a wild place

You could get 128 GB of RAM for what 32 costs now. It’s wild.

They can “be on the alert” on Halloween and it wouldn’t matter. Not like they can post a cop at all 200,000 of their cameras.

The movie title is referring to a fictional band, so even if you google “demon hunters band” you’re almost certainly going to get K-Pop Demon Hunters nowadays. I wouldn’t even know how to search for them and reliably get them to show up.
…well except this news story has gone viral so now they DO show up on top. The internet is weird man.

I don’t know why streamers still use Twitch. It’s got an absolutely toxic amount of ads. Unwatchable unless you’re paying a lot of money monthly.

“Growth and sustainability don’t have to be in opposition — in fact, our results show they reinforce each other.”
Oh yeah, makes total sense guy.

I just hope the machines sedate me and place me back at the peak of our civilization, 1999.

Depends on how you define “better.” You can generate many variants of a scene this way, at night say, or in snowy conditions. You can mock up emergency response situations. It’s part of the story you’re telling but not a straight up replacement.

I work in this space: you can use it to mock up commercial developments, changes in land use, etc., to see what it would look like. Somewhat useful when presenting rather dry architectural diagrams into realistic looking scenes.
Now, why it was broadly opened to the public is unclear to me other than being a flex?

I’m pretty skeptical local models can hold a candle to the cloud-based ones, particularly the ones Apple trains.

Is this even a large number of mice in the USA? Every wireless mouse I’ve bought has a normal battery…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t AlphaFold basically solve protein folding, as in their master database of folds is now complete? Doesn’t it make sense to move on at this point?
Yeah…no. This is going to the Supreme Court and there’s zero chance their right wing, Trump-choad-gargling asses don’t rule in favor of AI companies.
