Majority of anti-cheats do not work or not added to linux versions. So things like BF6, GTAO, etc do not work on linux sadly. If they did I would already be on linux full time.

If you can have two computers one should always be Linux. But gaming and certain software just does not work on Linux yet sadly. Hoping steam can turn that around.

That is a option but it’s performance is bad and you need at least fifteen mix character password every time you boot. If you game you need to use bitlocker sadly or load times dive hard. Having a second drive in full Veracrypt is fine for things like basic documents but not to game on.

Save a copy of your bitlocker keys to a Veracrypt drive with a password no shorter then 15 mixed characters. Then upload that encrypted container to any free service. They wont be able to open it and now you have a remote backup copy.

If you stay with Firefox forks use LibreWolf, if you stay with Chrome forks go Vivaldi do not use Brave, Sucks that Safari folded so many years ago for at least Windows it was a way to use Konqueror.

Never forget we were told Windows 10 would be the last version. That all updates from then on would be only to Windows 10.

I do and if the computer is for work yes update to 11. But for gaming only why would anyone care if it doesn’t break your games? I do nothing but game on a PC and have no need to update until it is required for gaming. Also it is not like on that date all security updates to that point vanish. Firefox and Chrome will still update for security. Malwarebytes will still also update for security.

Why? Nothing requires Windows 11. It doesn’t even have a new directx which is why most had to upgrade from 7. Browsers and malware software will work for years. Hell malwarbytes still updates for Window 7.

Few weeks back saw there is a lawsuit about this issue. I think more related to console though. As companies are on purpose using uncompressed and unoptimized files more and more just to take up more space to deny other games. *EDIT Just for reference Far Cry 5 required 40gb in 2018. Sweet now they need to fix their file sizes. When I saw how much bigger newest Far Cry was compared to last one I did a hard pass. Learning that companies are doing this so you can’t install competitor’s games made me never want to play another Far Cry again.

No Arch? I game on linux as much as possible and went with same that Valve did for SteamOS. Work I use Windows 10 Pro and laptop FreeBSD.

Sure if added to Pro version will have a Group Policy to disable them. Really happy I went Pro for Windows 10.
