Yeah true. It’s generally better from what I’ve seen but nazi chuds really are everywhere.

I can definitely see that. I’m not really too familiar with this space of games so I can’t speak on it much, but it does feel like a passion project, and that’s not a bad thing.
It’s actually so refreshing seeing upvoted comments here with the correct take, whereas the chuds would be all over this on the other site
Fuck JKR and everything she stands for
so is Windows
I didn’t pay for any Google bullshit and barely use anything of theirs these days. I paid for the hardware. There are literally full custom roms that sandbox and/or disable their junk
Clearly. That’s not a good thing.
This is just like that kickstarter from one of the other teams from that fallout that was posted here not too long ago.
Wake me up when the actual original writers have something to show. Anything else leveraging the DE name is a scam.
It’s not really my genre but this is looking far more interesting anyway and doesn’t use any bullshit AI slop:
They live their entire lives pissed off at everything anyway
That explains it, I knew this art style looked extremely familiar but couldn’t place it
The AI bullshit all over this game is extremely concerning. If this isn’t pushed back on, it’s going to become an industry trend.
I posted this over on the other site.
The kickstarter mentions a few names but it doesn’t seem like Kurvitz or any had any involvement in this, and one of the leads of this project is an AI techbro consultant claiming he was one of the original creators. And yep, Longdue sued one of the original writers and won.
This one’s a HARD pass.
This is the only team out of this fallout that’s worth keeping an eye on imo. The other teams feel like they’re just trying to ride the hype for the money.
Dual boot is the way for right now. Proton is huge, but there are still a good number of games with compatibility issues or rootkit anticheats. Personally I advise steering clear of the latter, but that’s neither here nor there.
I use CachyOS as my daily driver and booted up the Windows partition maybe 3 times since setting this up back in February (and most of those times were just to play REPO because Elgato hardware with dual input and output has serious issues with Linux, but I’ve sorted that out now with a workaround)
