And why does this “novelty” matter if what they spent money on got them the same amount of fun?

No different than buying a game if they get the same amount of playtime.

Those who are Downvoting this Post, be warned, for Bear is beyond your comprehension. They very well may Kill.

I’m a “buffoon” for disagreeing with you and for you not understanding an analogy?
That seems pretty childish, and you come across as an edgy teenager that wrongfully assumes they’re better than others.
MotoAsh, please consider stepping away from the internet the next time someone upsets you.

Cave noises are fire, but ambience in general is sometimes pretty bad. You’ll often hear happy/calm music while something intense is happening, and there are very few true ambient noises
Happy about this. Been checking it every few months since it was announced, and the cancellation felt really shitty. It seems like it will be playable by the end of the year!

I can see where you’re coming from. But calling Roblox a “specific game” isn’t entirely accurate because it’s got millions of separate ones.
Sure, the majority of Roblox players are kids. But iirc about half are adults. It’s not literally 99% kids with the remaining 1% being pedophiles like you suggest.
Removing the chat function entirely isn’t the solution; pedos would just move somewhere else. Maybe all online chat should be restricted to those 18 and older?

Word games? Multiplayer competitive games?
It’s not just a roleplaying game.
Despite being pretty important to the gameplay, should the developers of other games primarily played by underaged people be forced to ban chat? Like other bigger multiplayer games like Fortnite, Among Us, Valorant, CSGO, etc.

If this isn’t bait, congrats, you just missed the entire point of the analogy.
While we’re at it, let’s remove commenting and posting from Lemmy for people that aren’t administrators.

This argument is just silly.
>Uses an iOS device
>Wants to be able to install third-party apps
>“Why do you want to be able to allow viruses?”

That would be stupid, many games rely on chat and aren’t exclusively played by children

High chance if he decided to take home “just” $10 million per year, he could pay every single one of the Valve employees at least 100k more every year.
That or they could take less than 30% from developer profits.
Please. Don’t. Eat. Him.
In 100 years people are gonna look back on these 'phobes in the same way that we look back at slave owners… ignoring the fact that a lot of the 'phobes would probably be okay with modern slaves anyways.

If I were using the Mini, it would be because of the pencil. And if they gave iPhones (especially Pro Max) Apple Pencil support, although the experience would be a bit better on an iPad Mini, would it really be worth it for most people to buy, charge, and bring an extra device everywhere?
But, because Apple won’t do that, it’s a good device for some people. 120hz would make it great.

Well there’s no denying that’s inconvenient even if it’s what you prefer.
But why? I use a Leobog Hi75 on my PC which is a very thocky mech board, but I still appreciate the MacBook keyboard for being a decently satisfying keyboard especially considering how thin it is.
Currencies often unlock completely new content and the fact that you might not like a new game could cancel out the potential to have a slightly better time. Ultimately, how you spend gaming money is up to you.
