All forms of ceremony, from funerals to saluting a flag, make me deeply uncomfortable and I don’t know why. I just want to break the whole thing it’s weird.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•How do you manage you DB in a docker environment?
1·2 months agoSame, exactly what I do. For the part about backups, there are tools that make it really easy. I’m using databasus for instance. Once I had set up a couple applications, adding a new db, user, and backup config took just a few minutes every time really. In the end figuring out how to backup every docker stack’s individual DB sounds more complicated to me.
Edit: plus my first service hosted in this lab was my own matrix instance so I needed a solid DB, then it was already there so might as well use it.

8·2 months agoA MitM attack defines the attack technique, not the target. It’s when the target wants to connect to something but it connects through you first, and you forward while collecting/altering data. My question was about the attack used. But yeah, a mass takeover of everything orphaned would do it.

3·2 months agoI’ve dealt with a number of these who were coming from north African countries. Their hash was good, reasonably priced, and they were friendly. What can I say 🤷

8·2 months agohow did this happen? the linked thread show people identifying the infected packages and cleaning them up but no word about how it happened or how to prevent it.
And he has exactly one way to deal with issues: kill people.
