Transferring also means losing your post history, it all gets stuck on the instance you left behind.
This tool stinks of management requesting a better way to spy the employees. It has little to no benefits for the user.
Oh for fucks sake, auto categorization is one of the thing I dreaded the most on iOS because it’s almost always incorrect and it doesn’t fit my usage at all. Hopefully it will be possible to disable this crap.
Thats not fair, since everyone says the main app suck and you’ll have a better experience with Moshidon. This is true if you’re already there, but the comment makes it clear that it still lacks for newbies.
People talking about pixelfed are missing a key point: Cara is super easy to find and join. You go, type your email or login with your google account and that’s it. You don’t even have to remember a password. Nobody wants to find a server, apply to join, hope to get accepted, then somehow find all other artists like you.
Also, it looks good. Like, really good. That’s a thing that grab the attention of artists.
So does Apple, the difference being they grabbed it all to themselves. This is why they have “no tracking” options, to seal competition off while selling themselves as the privacy champions and also selling their in house ad solution. That and the fact that they worked with the government behind users back, and having a shoddy work to secure their OS.

Apple is not any better than Meta, they just lie better.
Man, they’re seething against the EU, totally pissed that the legislators worked against their abuse over developers and rubbed against their cash cow.
Apple is all about money and fucking the user, being no different from Meta or Google. All they have is shinier hardware.
Hot take here: they’re not wrong. AI speeds up tons of processes that many traditional artists won’t be able to keep up, just like digital painting sped up tons of processes that traditional painting could not keep up.
This doesn’t mean that traditional art will die. Physical art will surely find it’s niche and it will be sought after by collectors, for example. But in the commercial environment, faster is better and AI will be a factor.
