This is showing the progression of a person following their desires. At first, he doesn’t look Next, he side glances Then, he’s glancing a lot Then, he’s blatantly staring After that, he’s actually engaging Finally, he has apparently succumbed to his desires and engaged enough to no longer wear his robes and have a kid.
