Tex-Mex can be massively divergent from Mexican food, but at least occasionally it’s not crap. So nothing like Chipotle.

Sometimes chinese people eat at ‘chinese for americans’ type restaurants, but I would be surprised to hear if there are any successful ones in china. Maybe tourist areas? Still seems like a poor choice.

As an European, I could take a trip to Mexico, try Chipotle, then try local food and I’ll know exactly how much better authentic Mexican food is
