You can do that yourself, those insanely bright headlights are just LED lights. The old halogen bulbs have a warmer light and are less blinding. I agree that LED bulbs should be illegal because they’re dangerous, but it has nothing to do with cars being newer or older, its the bulbs themselves.

I was talking to a woman last night, we were having a good conversation and I was thinking of asking for her number. Then when I brought up how a lot of kids would probably be dying soon because of the “vaccine shit going on in our country”, she took that as me giving the anti-vax position and complained that she had been forced to get the Covid vaccine. It made me completely lose interest, not going to willingly date a moron. She was in the medical industry too so she should have known better.

I have watched and loved a lot of the shows other people have brought up, but the Venture Bros. holds a very special place in mine and other people’s hearts. Incredibly funny and intelligent, and I genuinely cared about the characters and what happened to them. I firmly believe it will likely be the greatest show Adult Swim ever produce.

For those trying to get into it, the first season is a little slow, they were still figuring things out, but season 2 onwards is all incredible.

Love that show, but that was MTV. Their other series, Xavier, was on Adult Swim though.

Yes, under a dictatorship, it’s literally happened before. Are you being serious or is this supposed to be some sort of gotcha where you go “socialism can’t exist without democracy so the label is pedantic”?

Socialism under one party governments have happened, that is not democracy, even if democratic elements exist within. You can’t have democracy under one party, the people need the ability to form an opposition party if the need arises.

Democratic socialism just means you believe in democratically governed socialism, not that you think you can just vote capitalism into socialism. There’s both reformist and revolutionary democratic socialists. I both believe in democracy and also see that the only way to overturn capitalism (at least in the US) would be through revolution. All the democratic part means is that they’re opposed to monarchies or dictatorships.

Exactly, the goal is to make it so everyone has that much accumulated wealth by the time they retire. We have enough so that everyone can live somewhat comfortably. People who critize socialists like Hasan for being rich are dumb. Being a socialist doesn’t mean you can’t be successful, it means you want everyone to have that level of comfort and security. If they were billionaires they might have a point, but I won’t say someone’s a hypocrite for being a socialist with a few million in the bank.

It’s also why I laugh when Conservatives talk about “The Hollywood Liberal Elite”. The real ruling class are the giant corporate executives and old money. Most actors are closer to working class than that. I also think public figures like actors, musicians, athletes, etc. should be paid a bit more than the average person, being under constant public scrutiny genuinely is stressful. The gap between them and us just needs to be closed a bit with the actual ruling class’ money.

I already have it all planned out. I know which album will lead into which and have ways I will play off it. I do switch as drastically as rock to Hip Hop but none of them are niche genres like choir lol.

I’m essentially creating love letters to all these different genres that have influenced me, and they’re all genres with bigger fanbases. I’m trying to tie them together through lyrical content.
