Alright. Thats it. I’ve had enough of these territory disputes. I declaire all of existence to be my territory. Yep. Every single atom that exists. All mine. I own everything now.
And for anyone who wishes to dispute this, the process is simple. Just take a number, use your toungue to write out a letter of dispute, directly onto my butthole! Anyone who doesn’t do this respects my claim to everything.

Nope. Not really. All this random multitasking, all the constant never ending bullshit. It’s all actually 1 task.
That 1 task is called “Distract everybody from the epstein files”
Ya know? Most of the time I don’t get to say this, but I think if the fediverse had a MySpace type service, I think the fediverse version might actually out-perform the official real version of MySpace. Which would probably be the thing that makes some corporate entity try to sue the fediverse.
Now in theory, MySpace can’t sue this Fediverse version of MySpace. For clarity sake, let’s call this fictional version of MySpace “FediSpace”.
So if MySpace tried to sue FediSpace, we all know that the decentralized nature of the fediverse should make that more or less impossible. But how would it hold up in real life? You can make all the laws you want. You can plan your government to run however you want. If the last few years have taught me anything it’s that none of that matters. If the people with money want to win, the courts are not an obstacle. They will make shit up, ignore shit, do whatever they can so the company with the money wins in court.
I just have no idea what that would look like. I don’t rule out the possibility, but I think it would require thousands of lawsuits. And I don’t see MySpace footing the bill for that. So I have no idea how to imagine it.
Oh god not again!!! MySpace Tom is about to kidnap people in vans, and shoot innocent people on the street while taking no responsibility in the slightest.
What? That’s what happened last time someone trying to make a comeback said that. Look what happened within a year.
Well clearly nothing could go wrong with that, right? …right?

On top of that, everything since the PS4 and even some of PS3, has been game files are on the disc, but incomplete. Disc is more or less a DRM security check to make sure you still have the game. Outside of that, you still have to download the full game basically. The disc is useless if you tried using this in the year 2067. By then I’m sure any service related to the PS5 will be long dead. Right now, I can buy and play NES games from 1985. I have no issue doing that. As long as your TV has component cable input, I can play an NES on your TV with an NES I can buy on ebay. The game and console both made in the 1980s. It will still work. Might need some isopropyl alcohol and a few q-tips, but it will work. 1985 was 41 years ago. 2067 is 41 years from now. I have zero faith that you’ll be able to use anything from the PS4 or PS5 era. That will become lost media. There may be issues connecting an NES to a modern TV in 2067, but if there are adaptors to make it work on whatever they use at the time, and if the physical plastic and brass hasn’t eroded, then you’ll STILL be able to use an NES in 2067. I have zero faith that Gen-Z will be able to show their grandkids what they played in 2018.
Good chance I’ll be dead before then, so I may not even see the day. My point stands though. We’re living in a digital only age, when we haven’t figured out how we will forever preserve these games. Because unless something crazy changes, I fully believe this generation is a generation you can only play now, while you can. My PS3 still has the PSHome app installed. I remember playing on PSHome for years. Then one day, they announced it would die, and all access to the service would be lost to time. Which is how it stands to this day.
I forget what the error says if you try to launch it now, but I stopped trying to launch it, because I was afraid it might self-delete.

I was actually going to reply back with a quote of your post
then it wakes up and decides humans are the problem.
And I was going to say “Fair point”. But now reading your full comment, I see you’re already in agreement.

Not sure how one relates to the other, but I’m down. I’m also going to dress like a pirate.
…what? I said I don’t know how any of this relates to the other. Are we NOT just doing random stuff that makes us feel good?

Hey did you just know this guy is actually a robot? Uhhhh…wait, isn’t this how the terminator movies started? The elite using robots to control the masses?

I think the idea is that OP thinks 102 million is either equal to or more than what he would have paid in taxes. It’s not.
I’ve looked at my paycheck and done the math. Every paycheck I get taxed roughly 17%.
I don’t know this guys annual income, but I’d be willing to bet if he had to pay a fair 17%, he would be paying a LOT more than 102 million.
So it got posted because at some point, the wealth of these people gets hard to comprehend just how much it is, because its hard to imagine having even a fraction of that money.
The jam should be white with black spots.
I’m imagining it like a scene from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. You’re meatwad. Playing with potatos, and imaging they’re expensive electronics. But it’s just potatoes with magic marker drawn on them to look like a cell phone, and a PC.

I read the first few sentences, but already I disagree before your thought train had a chance to leave the station.
Think of your phone. Your phone might have AI, but mostly thats just connecting to the data center.
But imagine if it didn’t. Imagine if the AI ran directly from your cell phone. Suddenly you have no need for data centers.
But it’s not magic. In 1985 Nintendo released the NES to America. Previously released in Japan as the Famicom.
In 1985 if I asked you “what if there was a device like on star trek, wheere you could call someone, and it’s a calander, and a camera, and a calculator, and a step counter, and a source of news, information, and a flashlight??? Oh, plus it can play NES games right on the device!”
You would say in 1985 thats magic. Except it’s not magic. It’s just tech that didn’t exist YET.
Today it’s called literally any cheap cell phone.
Now we know time will always move forward. I’m fairly confident that within 10 years AI run locally CAN exist. It probably can exist right now. The reason it doesn’t and won’t is because 5 years ago the tech just wasn’t there yet.
So they bought a lot of land. They bought a lot of ram. They spent a lot of long term money on this early model of AI from 5 years ago.
So in 10 years, you’d expect there to be more fully functional local run AI. But here’s why that won’t happen.
When these rich assholes buy land, and all the buildings to be built and paid for by them, they feel obligated to use it. Even if NOT using it weilds better results.
Studies have shown that workers working from home result in more productivity, more work done, and more profit. Yet employers keep the big 12 story office with outdated windows xp computers running legacy software. Why? Because they already paid for it. So, “Come back to work dickhead!” says the boss.
Otherwise he’d have a big office, thats already paid for, but its empty.
So every data center that gets built should be considered permanent, even though from a tech standpoint it doesn’t need to be.
So what they’re simply asking is, what if the AI didn’t drain towns of water and electricity? What if it just ran on your phone?

it cannot intrinsically do accurately or as well as a person with critical thinking
Yeah…we’re running out of those people.
I thought it was a riddle that I didn’t understand. But I also thought “photos” said “potatos” until I zoomed in.
So. Riddle. How do you move your potatos from your phone to your PC?

Government: Describe how they opened the artificial tubes of intelligent internet.
AI companies: Oh. It would appear we can lie our asses off, because these dustpiles don’t understand the core concepts at play here…
AI companies: They used a zappy gun. Which is why we need to install mass surveilance on every phone and street corner to find all the zappy guns.
Government: My god!!! Those zappy guns go pew pew pew and now everyone knows I wear pink panties and a dog collar in my wifes basement! Fund the AI immediately!

Old man yells at cloud.
Or at this point, old man yells at anything to distract you from the epstein files.

Hell it’s the only place I’m okay with something up my ass.
Psssshhhhhh! Prude!
Btw, I’m not defending these doctors with the glasses. Fuck that shit! That should absolutely be banned.
I’m just saying anal is awesome! You’re missing out.
I honestly think the vast majority would drop him. Its their hard line. For now they’re denying he’s in there. But hia plummeting popularity show that some republicans are in agreement that trump is guilty. Which is why they’ve stopped supporting him in recent years.
So I think his base would dramatically shrink. But not die.
