This is a concert recording of the "early" Kraftwerk, the Organization. It was taken on the Second Essener Pop and Blues Festival on 25th of April 1970

The band was active in 1969–1970 and released the album ‘Tone Float’, co-produced by Conny Plank — later the producer of Kraftwerk, Neu!, other krautrock bands, D.A.F., and a bunch of popular new-wave artists like Eurythmics and Ultravox.

    Only just now noticed that Schneider wore a shirt with his own face on it.

    Also, WDR were apparently pretty prolific in regard to psychedelic krautrock: later the same year they recorded a more-electronic ten-minute performance of ‘Ruckzuck’ by proper Kraftwerk, with similarly annoying frequent camera cuts and lots of crowd shots.
