My one dog likes to stick her tongue in your mouth when you least expect it. I think she’s trying to share her microbiome with everyone.
One time I was laying on my back in the living room, eyes closed, resting. I yawned one of those big yawns and opened my eyes midway through because I heard a sound. What I saw was my dog’s eyes looking into mine, really, really close. Closer than they’d even been. The reason they were so close was because his nose was fully into my open mouth.
