I mean it’ll have been 10 years soon for a flagship 3D title. Obviously they’re going hard on the spinoffs but it’s never been this long for main titles.
well yea, but we haven’t been starved on mainline mario content either. we had bowser’s fury in 2020, mario wonder in 2023 (not a 3d game but still mainline), and dk bananza apparently has a lot in common with 3d mario (tho i couldn’t tell myself, i didn’t play it)

DK Bananza was made by the Odyssey team so it makes sense there isn’t another 3d Mario on the horizon yet
Was Donkey Kong Bananza not a “flagship 3D title”?
