Moi! Please read my other posts for some context.

Soo basically I got ignored for trying a Meetup and that’s fine, there is a party. The problem is I can’t cause I work till night and that was my only chance to get to know them and binding with them. I feel so obsessed over the idea of a irl trans community that alienated my relationship and I really feel like I should leave the idea behind and give up. My days are filled to the brim with negativity and I can’t have one day to rest myself without my overthinking issues. Mood: pressured

i understand. i’m someone who is “not a joiner” generally. i feel like whenever i get involved in a group i get sidelined and overlooked. maybe it’s a problem to do with me or how i process the world, but i generally just feel disappointed. others seem to make friends much more easily and no amount of putting myself out for others seems to matter.

at the same time, i know my community is out there somewhere so i’m not ready to give up outright. i guess, though it may not be the answer you want, i’m counseling patience. keep looking for opportunities to connect and eventually you will.

I have similar feelings about other groups. I think a gravity check makes sense. Is someone in that group actively pulling you in, and making you feel included? There was a group like that which I tried to join via a broad invite for anyone to join, but no one there really liked me or confirmed my schedule. In another group, the leader is literally asking me my schedule, making sure I have the ticket for our event, and helping me plan my travel itinerary to meetup.
