I was playing Garrysmod the night Obama was elected the first time
Garry’s Mod was fun, now the only servers that have people in them got ridiculous rulesets and the constant begging for donations & locking superior weapons behind a paywall gets old real quick.
Not hard to spin up a docker container for a Garry’s mod server, these server hosters are abusing their position and think hosting a server is difficult.
Yeah, I’ve noticed communities go to shit when admins start doing too much.
It’s like they can’t help themselves because they have no power anywhere else in their lives.

I played it on saturday for the first time since 2016
I’ve still been using it lately to animate a video. It’s nice that so many tools have been refined in that time.
